About Me

My name is Calum (Neil MacDonald) Gillies and I’m an artist and content creator born and raised on the tiny island Raasay. I’m an experienced tour guide and social media manager as part of my day job. I also specialising in the production, creation and editing of video and photographic content. I also do a variety of creative work, from illustration to digital art. I also like to write.

Growing up on Raasay, I’ve developed a passion for history and the outdoors, and I can most often be found in my work or studio, most likely working on a project or editing photos. If I’m not there, I’m pottering around the isle of Raasay distillery, where I’m currently Head of Tours & Content Creation. I’m responsible for all of the copy, video & photo content that you’ll see (and on the Isle of Raasay Facebook/Twitter page).

Feel free to get in touch, I can be found at calumgilliesart@gmail.com. You can also message me through my Twitter account.
