Operation TRACER was as secret as it was insane: Six men, entombed within the Rock of Gibraltar Gibraltar to spy on the Germans.
During the Second World War, the British outpost of Gibraltar was the gateway to Mediterranean and in early 1941 it looked to be the next in line for invasion by Axis forces. In the midst of a potential German takeover, a top secret plan codenamed TRACER was being developed to hide observers and spies within in the rock itself.
